"Lord of the Chicken Thieves"

I
was raised in a marginal Catholic family (weddings and funerals were church occasions), and as a veteran of Catholic School, had become an agnostic or atheist, or whatever a 10 year old who doesn’t want to go to church becomes.

By the age of 11 or 12, I was actively drinking and drugging, a pattern that persisted for 11 years.  After years of trying to manage and/ or conquer my addictions and the whirlwind of stuff that comes with them, I finally called out to God for rescue in 1990.  He broke the chains of addiction in my life, started transforming me into a more decent human being, and in what I think may have been God's only questionable choice to date, called me to a life of full time ministry.

In 1993, I enrolled in a small Bible college in Massachusetts, where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Theology, with a minor in Biblical Languages.  While completing my undergraduate studies, I received the American Bible Society's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Biblical studies for 1994-1995.  I'm an academic at heart and have passionately pursued the original languages of the Bible for years.

In 2008, I completed my Masters Degree in Theology, concentrating on Koine Greek (the language in which the New testament was written).

I have been a local church pastor since 1995, and my ministry has always been centered on inspiring passion about the Word of God and equipping people to study the Bible and apply it to their lives.

I love to write and to teach, so in January of 2009, I created "So Whats" in the Bible as an outlet for my passions and to increase the scope and field of my personal ministry.

I am a husband to Tracey, father to Ashley, Justin, and Giovanni, and most recently, grandpa to a beutiful little girl named Lia.

Grace and peace to you,

Ken
